Outdoor Education Experience
Saskatchewan Outdoor and Environmental Education Association has funds available to subsidize groups who are providing quality outdoor education experiences. The focus is on student groups with community partnership(s).
- Complete this application and submit it to the Executive Assistant before the deadline (March 15th or October 15th). Applications must be in before the trip to be considered.
- Schools or groups are eligible for one $500.00 grant per year.
- The applicant or the school must be a current member of SOEEA.
- Funding cannot be used for capital expenditures.
- Attach a letter to this application form providing details regarding:
- A description of the trip. (location, dates, number of students, number of people involved, etc.)
- The educational goals of the trip
- The emphasis on low impact, environmentally friendly nature of your plans
- A budget outline for your trip. Remember that our funding is not for capital expenditures.
- Anything else that you feel will enhance your application
Application deadline dates: March 15 & October 15
After receiving the assistance: (and the trip!)
- Submit a report of approximately one page along with student work, pictures and other items for SOEEA to use in our Envisage newsletter. New this year, reports can also be submitted as blogs, videos, and podcasts!
- Submit a final budget including receipts for up to $500.00.
- SOEEA and SaskLotteries must be thanked in a school or community newsletter. The logo will be e-mailed to successful applicants. A copy of this newsletter should accompany your report.
- Submit an evaluation of the program from both participants and organizers. SOEEA has a Participants' Evaluation Follow-Up Form that may be used or you can submit copies of an internal evaluation form. Please submit evaluations from at least 2 participants. Organizers must complete SOEEA's Organizer's Evaluation Follow-up Form.
*Remember ! Completing these requirements after your trip will ensure that your school or organization is eligible for future grants!
