What: Project WILD K-12 Certification Workshop

The Take the Lead! initiative was developed in partnership between the Southeast Connection Sport, Culture & Recreation District, the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region and the SunCountry Health Region. The Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) would like to acknowledge the success of the Take the Lead! initiative and we are excited to have the opportunity to offer financial assistance for this initiative to expand it provincially.

Join us for initiative games, shelter building, fire starting, healthy and creative cooking in the outdoors, winter survival, hiking, skiing, kite flying and more. All meals will be provided. Detailed directions will be given and car pooling arranged.
Read moreSOEEA is thrilled to have Andrea Nelson coordinating an EcoTour specifically for youth ages 16-19 at Cherry Lake near Indian Head on November 2-4, 2012. All participants must have previous outdoor experience as there will be limited time for preparations and training. The trip will include travel from Regina, all food, guest presenters and an opportunity to connect with other like-minded youth. Cost is $25/participant and includes a 3 year membership to SOEEA.

Sleep in traditional African huts (or bring your own tent). In the huts the sleep part is like camping as one sleeps in the traditional way...on the hut floors although we do lay cardboard overlaid by taurpauline on the floors.
